Feeling Overwhelmed?

Navigating our new reality during this pandemic is beyond stressful. It’s not just your child’s life that has been disrupted, but yours as well. We often spend our time worrying about and doing everything we can to help those around us, but often leave ourselves for last.

This week we encourage you to try and take a moment to put yourself first! Sneaking in a few minutes for you, will help fill your bucket, which will in turn provide you with the strength and patience to better support those around you. Just like on an airplane, you always put the oxygen mask on yourself before your child, because if you aren’t okay, you can’t help them.

Check out this video from Elmo’s Dad https://youtu.be/aEmaWIxyhj8, and remember, you are doing an amazing job! More resources for you and your kiddos can also be found here: https://www.sesamestreet.org/caring
